gruesome cuts of meat!

Went to eat at Brazil Churrascaria at sixth avenue again. Finally, this time alone with steven only! hehe! The food there is just awesomw. The salad bar is good and the meat just keep dropping on your plate. You really just need to go there and experience it yourself. The pineapples here are just superb!! arghhh..i wanna go again.

Steven and i went to shop at orchard and didn't know what to have for dinner. We wanted to go crystal jade at first but then decided to see if there is any interesting food at the wisma food court.

We saw this north indian restaurant in the food court so we decided to try it because steven had been wanting to try it from last time. I saw the menu and it looked good, so we ordered.

I ordered the papadum.But it sucks. It is very salty and the toppings were so extra. South indian papadums are the best!

Then the curries came. The first few mouths were quite good but we soon got sick of it even though the portion wasn't a lot. We regretted man!! Chinese food is still the BEST!

But i have to mention that their naan is really fragrant and good. Other than that, i guess we were just not used to such a diet.

But steven and i were glad that we tried.

Enormous pumpkins i saw at cold storage!

This is the first time steven and i tried to make our own menemen. It is a turkish food we tried at fareast and we loved it. After trying it for so many times, we finally decided to cook it ourselves. Steven got the recipe and we added in 6 eggs, green chillies, onions, tomatoes and some seasonings.

There! we got ourselves one big pan of menemen! Although it wasn't as fragrant as the one at far east, but i loved it better. Just enjoy the whole process of cooking it and eating it in from of the tv set with steven. Yum!!

on the boat ride they had a monitor lizard skin and allowed us to feel it! When the guide asked the tourist if they knew what skin it was. Only Steven knew the answer! AHAHAH! He shouted it out and the guide said correct!!

Steven and i went to the isetan private sale at scotts today with jenny, mido and steven's parents. I bought a agatha rubber band. Damn cute. usually is 33 bucks. But because of the sale i only paid 25 bucks! yipee! After the sale, we went to have ice cream outside the isetan. Gelatissmo. Erm..the ice cream sucks! We did not even bother to finish it.

After that, for dinner, steven n i went for dinner at liang court then we went to walk around clarke quay area. We saw the opening of A BK bar (burgerking bar) WDH??? Hahaha..we were wondering if its a real bar. So we supposed to eat whoppers with alchohol?

This time we went buckeroo again with jenny and mido because steven knew that they would love the food there and indeed they did. They loved the buffalo wings there and the soup was good too. Mido even recommended his sister to go try the food there.!!!

however the lamd chop steven and i ordered was not very good. A bit tough. Other than that, all the other food very very good arh!!!

jiao zi at neil road~

Steven's dad heard from his friend that there is a very good "jiao zi" place at Neil road so we went there for dinner. It was our first time going there so we had a hard time finding the place. BUT it was WORTH the effort. The guo tie they have there is really unique and it tastes really delicious. super yummy! i like the tang yuan they have there too. damn good. i used to hate tang yuan but i love this.

This is the zha jiang mian..eh..not to our liking..
The veggie is very nice too..although its just veggie.
There in the middle of the table is the GUO TIE...damn damn nice.
This is the boiled jiao zi. The guo tie is nicer though.
xiao long bao..i dun think its nice. Still must go Ding Tai Fung for xiao long bao.
My fav tang yuan.
this is the red bean pancake. very crispy n fragrant. This is nice too.
look at the red bean paste inside..its not too sweet. worth eating.

Today afternoon!
we were waiting for steven's popo to come out of the hospital so we went to dempsey hill to take a look at the restaurants there.
There are a lot of interesting restaurants and furniture shops there.
We saw this interesting place that looked like a supermarket so we went in to take a look!
Its called JONES THE GROCER.
Turns out that the place is a supermarket that sells really ang moh and unique looking food cum a restaurant. There were quite a lot of people eating there so i guess should be not bad.

They even have a cheese room there! so cool~

So nice right!!!! the muffins..
They also sell cookbooks here..cool eh!

For dinner today, we went to buckeroos with steven and his mom.

The caesar salad! very nice..steven and i like this.
deep fried mushrooms..the mushrooms were very juicy and its really nice. But i did not enjoy it because the mushroom smell was very strong so a bit gross for me.
The onion rings! made with real onions..it's so sweet.
The famous buffalo wings! steven love this! there are many levels of spicy-ness. But i'm so lousy, i cant even take level one.!! The price of the wings increases as the level of spicy-ness gets higher!

After that i tabao-ed the onion rings and buffalo wings for my family.

It's pepper's one year old birthday!! YIPEEEEEEEE! Steven and i went to the Us doggie bakery to collect her birthday cake and we bought a sheperd'd pie for her. Yea,,the picture on top is her pie.

I bought balloons to decorate the house so that it will look like a birthday party for pepper!

THERE! isn't it nice?? steven and i had a hard time blowing so many balloons..i was giddyyyyyyy...
After sticking the balloons to the wall, it was about time to catch the sunset at Seletar! So we set off~!

When we just reached ther, there were about 3 stray dogs loitering around. Pepper saw them and got sooooo angry she barked non stop! her barks even attracted the strays to come near the car..omg..but one of the stay was injured on the back..poor thing..

Saizeriya again on the weekends!

They have new items added to their menu now! Steven and i went there for lunch on Saturday. i tried the last dish..
Ordered the prawn salad as usual..my must have!
This is their new item. It's spinach pasta with salmon and mushroom sauce! It is very fragrant with a strong smell of the spinach. If u like spinach, you'll like this! Steven and i love it! But the portion is quite a lot so it got kinda gross after eating too much and it's CREAMY...
This is egg baked with potatoes and ham. Oh sweet corns too! i love it! what's not to love about egg with potatoes!!

Saturday dinner
Steven and i was craving for Nasi briyani and we couldn't think of anywhere to try so we went to the food court and suntec city to eat.

The nasi briyani here is very fragrant and u can smell all the herbs and spices and it is not spicy at all. Maybe just a little bit. But the one at upper thomson is still much nicer...steven says.

Sunday dinner!
Steven went fishing with his friends at St john's island this afternoon and after he came back around the evening he picked me and my mom up from home for dinner. We couldn't decide where to eat and steven was craving for saizeriya again so we went there with my mom for dinner!

My mom ordered this. Something like aglio olio..because she did not like tomato and cream based pasta.

i ordered the foccacia bread for my mom to go with her soup.
we ordered chicken drumlets too. very nice! but a little spicy..
Steven ordered the steak..very tender and nice too.
I ordered their Number one dish on the menu! its called meat doria or something..ahahha i forgot!

Tried the food opera (high class food court) at ION with my mom because the queue at AOBA ramen restaurant was so damn long. I bought the food in a tabao form and to my surprise, even the plastic bag and packaging boxes they use there for their food is of better quality. It has the name of the food opera printed on it. Unlike other food courts that always use red, blue, white plastic bags.

I bought these 2 dishes from the hakka stall there. I actually only wanted to buy the abacus but the auntie their recommended me their homemade soonkueh. So i bought it as well...

er..end up the soon kueh not nice..but the abacus was nice.

My mom ordered macaroni soup from the chicken rice stall. She wanted something SOUPYYYY..
Haha..yesterday night i was bored and took this pic with pepper using my sister's phone. Pepper so cute!

This was also taken last night. Because my grandma had high fever so everyone went to my grandma's house to visit her. It was like Chinese New Year man..my grandma was resting but everyone was talking in the room and the room was full of laughter. My grandma was very happy i think. Cos she didn't mind the noise and she looked really happy that all her children and grand children all came to visit and show concern for her.

Today i went to taka around 3-4 o clock and steven bought a bag for me from DKNY! I love the design of the bag. Okay i shall not elaborate, u can see for urself when u see me! hehe!

After that we went to BOON TONG KEE at balestier to eat. Damn nice la..i feel like eating again..so hungry now.. look at my pics..the food looks soooo good~~

HAHA! In the morning, i had breakfast with francene at MAC DONALDS. After that, we went to fareast plaza. On the bus, we were discussing about getting an express manicure and so we went to find a shop that looks decent to do our nails because our nails look so chui~
At the place, fran and i kept chatting and both of us accidentally scratched one of our nails once. HAHA..the person that did the nails for us had to help us touch up..felt so guilty!

After that, we went to ION to try the takoyaki and B4. Kaoz..damn nice.

It is crispy in the outside and creamy on the inside. Damn nice la..they only have octopus flavor. But i think its more authentic this way. DAMN NICE. GO TRY!

After eating the takoyaki, we continued to eat. we went to eat at ayam penyet because francene was craving for the gadogado and sayur asam there ever since i recommended it to her the previous time we went out.

After shopping at orchard, Fran and i then went down to Yio chu kang for out basic theory test! I PASSED! GOSH..so happy! when doing the test, i was having butterflies in my tummy!

For dinner, we took a bus to AMK HUB and we decided to have pepper lunch for dinner! havent eaten pepper lunch in a long time already. I ate the hamburger steak. HAHA..tasted very nice. Not sure if its because i was damn hungry...haahah

Went to eat the korean food at wisma again on sunday. This time, steven and i tried something new. We tried the kimchi pancake there and it was delicious.

At first steven was reluctant to try as it was not really his kind of food. But we still ordered it anyway. It turned out to be very nice and fragrant until steven also said that the pancake is nice. Worth trying!

We saw a group of koreans eating there as well. From their faces, i see that they were quite happy with their food. So i guess the food there is really kinda authentic!

Had lunch with fran at TRCC~

Eunice came to meet us after doing her work~we chatted together. So long nvr see younotnice already. so happy~

After that fran and i had to go collect out items we bought from a blogshop online. That fucking bitch made us wait for so long already. Like half a year for god's sake! And now she tell fran that she wants to refund the money for the items that are not here yet. FUCK MAN!

Poor fran, she is the most affected because most my items are here already. Fran even bought things from spree 2, so we were going to negotiate with these ah lians and ah bengs. As usual. the blogshop person in charge, vivian who is 16 this yr, sent her bf to deliver the things to us at Bugis Mrt station.

Fran and i were really pissed and we want the money back.

The bf brought a few other of his ah beng friends with him. DUNNO FOR WAD~ scare us? like fuck man, we were not even scared. In the end we questioned the bf like mad and his friends just stood behind and kept quiet. The vivan said that we will not be getting the handling fees back even though we did not get the item. fuck?

but luckily there were still quite polite and from the bf we know that other people who bought stuffs from them are threatening to call the cops as well.

The bf assured us that we will get the money back and so we left.

fran and i then went to eat at Ajisen.. then we received a msg from the gf saying that we will not get the handling fees back and said that we can go find her at bugis st where she is working if we want. TO TALK..

So after dinner, fran and i went to find her. Luckily she was still polite and not ah lian to us. fran was damn fierce n stern to her laaa..hahaha.. finally she assured us that we will get the money back and explained to us why we cant get the clothes. But fuck man..so irresponsible. Fran and i shall not purchase anything from such blogshops anymore.

went to taka today.. wanted to buy sashimi for lunch and i bought this egg omelette noodle at Taka to eat too.

Our sashimi! sooo nice...kaoz! We picked the salmon and scallop and gave it to the person to cut for us. This amount of sashimi costs 18 bucks.

This method of eating Nutella with cheese is a favorite childhood snack among Indonesians. Steven told me that cos i was wondering how come i was not introduced to such a way of eating these 2 together. Its damn nice if you're wondering if it actually tastes nice.

Steven tried the lamb chops there. It sucks.

Went to eat at AYAM PENYET RIA at Lucky plaza level one.
We saw the boss of the restaurant when we were on the way there and he walked us back to his restaurant and signed on this order slip so that we do not need to pay. It was on the house! HEHE! Steven's dad and the boss here are long time pals so like YEA!!! we got a free meal!

We tried their new item on the menu which is cumi cumi penyet (baby squid) and it was veru fragrant and nice. my picture here looks nicer than wad they have in their menu! hahaha..
Sayur asam! my fav indonesian style soup. It sour and a little spicy and there are peanuts in the soup. It so appetizing and u just wanna have more.
Steven ordered the ox tail soup with rice. Very nice too.. the meat was boiled until soft..

Wen to find huiru at work after meal. She was giving out free coke around heeren area so we went to say hi and of course get free COCA COLA! The cokes come in glass bottles..so cute!

My lunch we ta bao from Mac donalds and KFC! AHAHAH! For afternoon tea, we had camembert cheese and olives.. I loveeee that cheese. Its so creamy....

MY HONGKONG TRIP 2009

I was so happy and excited when i reached the hotel! It looked sooo grand and huge! This is the lobby at the Venetian hotel at Macau. I heard that this lobby is for guest staying at the suites only..cool eh! HAHAHAHA
My suite! its so big! the room is huge and so is the toilet. Everything here looks so Venice and grand! Pretty pretty!!

Even the food at the venetian food court tastes so delicious!
We then started our journey to visit the different hotels around Macau. There were shuttle buses to many other hotels so we just transfered buses from one hotel to another.

Went for high tea at Wynn hotel! The place and the food looks so pretty and SWEET!!

Went to eat some sze char kinda food at some place..ahahaha i dunno where..shark's fin there was nice..

Steven and i went for a walk outside the hotel..The outside of the hotel was simply breathtaking..So grand,so romantic...

The next morning, we went to eat at a Jap restaurant in Venetian..it nice too. But i still prefer eating the local food there.
Taking the venetian ferry back to Hongkong on the 3rd day.
After putting out stuffs at the hotel, we went to eat beef ball noodles at some place steven's parents were familar with. The lady boss there also knew how to speak indonesian!! After that, during the night we went to the mall nearby called TIMES SQUARE. On the way there, we tried some street foods like the siew mai and the fish eggs that the Hk people always eat.
For supper. we went to eat steamboat at a restaurant opposite our hotel. The food is very good!!! Hehe..just look at those abalones...yummy!!
went shopping, eating..saw this HK star a lot of people were crowding around, but i dunno who he is. That orange bowl of thing u see in the picture above is actually shark fins soup with crab roe! I cant describe how tasty it is..super feel like eating it again..
Went to Disneyland on the 2nd last day of our trip.

Went to ION at orchard today! SOOOO happy! when i was shopping inside, it didn't really feel like Singapore. Felt a bit like when i was shopping in Hongkong. There's a supermarket in the mall. Its called three sixty supermarket and they have unique food stuffs selling there! Steven and i love the supermarket there. The mall is huge and it took us more than 3 hours to shop finish..yea yea! i wanna go there again soon!Saw this roast pig! huge!!!

Lunch at WATAMI restaurant

Its so funny..the waiter and waitresses taking orders here all have to kneel down to take orders. But the service was really good and they were very attentive and friendly. They have quite a few jap staff too and i saw a lot of japanese eating there too. The food here is really unique and delicious. I'm gonna bring my mama here to eat.
